What if I need to see a doctor?

You may call our office the next time you need to see a doctor and choose from one of our nine physicians or three physicians assistants.  We have doctors who specialize in internal medicine and family practice.  Your chart will be maintained at our office.

What if I have an HMO and the Primary Care Physician on my insurance card is not a doctor at 1960 Family Practice?

Call the number on your insurance card and change your PCP to one of the following doctors: Alex Nguyen, Quoc Le, Blandina Sison, Huong Le, Nashed-Guiguis, Thu “Annie” Hoang, Asma Ahmad, Shephali Patel, or Anthony Yee Young.  Tell your insurance you want this change effective immediately.

How do I know if the doctors at 1960 Family Practice will accept my insurance?

Our office participates with most all of the insurance plans offered in the Houston area including HMO, PPO, POS and Medicare.  Check with your insurance company for verification or you may contact our business office at 281-586-3888 Option 6.

What if I have already chosen another doctor as my Primary Care Physician, how do I get my medical records?

1960 Family Practice can have your chart transferred to your new doctor with appropriately signed documents.  You may come into our office and sign a release of information or you may have your doctors office request the records on your behalf.  Please allow 7-10 days. There will be a charge for postage and copying services.

What if I get sick on the weekend or in the evening?

1960 Family Practice has an acute illness clinic on Saturdays from 8AM-1PM and Sunday from 12PM-3PM on a walk in basis.  You may call 281-587-5142 for urgent matters to access the doctor on call or go to the emergency room and they will call our physicians if needed.

What if I need a refill on my medication?

Please contact your pharmacy and they will contact us with the information necessary to authorize a refill. Most medications require frequent evaluations by the physician; so If it has been more than 90 days since your last appointment; please schedule an office visit.

What if I need a referral to see a specialist?

Call our office and schedule an appointment.  You must be seen by a physician at 1960 Family Practice before we can refer you to a specialist.

How when can I expect to see my test results?

Routine test results will be mailed to you within 5-7 business days.
